 Learn the basics and do your first knit project - a washcloth in the shape of a house!  Increase your skill set by learning how to read a knitting chart, knit increases, decreases and 2 methods of binding off. 


Materials Needed:

1 skein of solid color cotton yarn in worsted weight (#4)

US size 6  - 10" long knitting needles

4-6 locking stitch markers

Lacy Sweater Washcloth

Materials Needed:

1 skein of cotton worsted weight yarn #4 (lighter solid colored yarns will show the pattern best)

US size 8 (5.0mm) needle 10" straight needle is recommended, but this can easily be worked on a 16" circular needle

Learn to Knit Brioche

The Brioche technique of knitting is super hot this season.  Learn to knit a hat using the Brioche technique in  3 classes.   After knitting this hat you'll be ready for anything Brioche!

Materials needed:  

  •  Yarn: Cascade 220 (100% wool; 220 yds per 100g), 1 skein each of two high contrast colors. 
  • Needles: 5.0mm (US8) 16” circular needles; 3.5mm (US4) 16” circular and set of double pointed needles (or longer circular for magic loop). 
  • Other tools: stitch markers, darning needle.  
  •  Optional: faux fur pom pom (available at the shop)

Comfort Cowl

 Taller in the front, shorter in the back, makes this cowl comfortable no matter how many layers you have on and gives you warmth where you need it most. Worked in a simplified short row pattern on circular needles with stitches dropped at the end of the project to create a broad rib pattern. Quick, fun and just one ball of yarn, pattern gives instructions for cowl worked in either Sport or Super Bulky yarns
